Meet Drea Pacot LAc
My history was not in medicine, but in the arts. I was, and still am, a flamenco dancer. I’ve taught classes, directed a group and made flamenco dance costumes as well as performed using my body to express myself.
Many people ask me what brought me to becoming an acupuncturist, which sprung from a very difficult time in my life. I was married, pregnant with my first child, but it ended in a miscarriage.
As you can imagine it was a devastating experience. I didn’t feel like myself for a long time and felt imbalanced in my body. A dear friend bought me an acupuncture treatment, something I had never tried. The experience was life changing affecting both my body and my spirit.
From this experience I was inspired to heal others and began working on my Masters of Oriental Medicine. I’m a proud graduate of AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine, rated as the top acupuncture school in 2016 and 2017.
Always wanting to enhance my knowledge, I also have certifications in Japanese Hari, Classical Neijing Acupuncture, Canonical Chinese Medicine Training as well as the following bodywork disciplines: Inner Radiance Qigong (Instructor Level), Medical Qigong, Thai Massage and Acupressure.
I still perform flamenco, but my true passion is in healing others through a multi-disciplined acupuncture practice. I have offices in Austin and Blanco, servicing both communities.
